This Bootcamp takes the participant in-depth into Media Composer, exploring the features that differentiate Media Composer from other systems, the features that keep core, professional editors cutting on the Avid system.

Course Outline

Editing Tools and Techniques for Avid Media Composer (MC201): Experienced Avid Media Composer or Symphony editors gain greater productivity by mastering the system’s sophisticated editing features and tools. Students learn advanced navigation and shortcuts, along with advanced toolsets including MultiCamera, ScriptSync, and audio sweetening tools. Sessions include instructor-led demonstration and hands-on practice.

Effects Tools and Techniques for Avid Media Composer (MC205): The course concludes with a day of advanced animated title creation, and another day on advanced core editing tools, including sync-point editing, advanced trimming, advanced project and media management. Editors will also pick up tricks relating to transcoding of media, recapturing sequences and tons of advanced keystrokes and short-cuts that empower the most hardcore of pro Avid editors.

Basic Color Correction with Avid Media Composer (MC239): This course explains the fundamental techniques for color correcting shots or enhancing the look of a program on Avid Media Composer and will prepare you to work effectively with a colorist. Lessons are divided between demonstration and hands-on practice.
