Why Splice?

What's Covered

We create still pictures and video and add stylize it for broadcast.

Why would I want this training?

Audiences expect a highly finished product, and part of that involves great opening/closing credits, and good commercial bumpers Commercials should be stylized and embrace the visual, moving medium. After Effects provides the tools to enable that.

I'm not a video editor.

That's ok, we don't expect for you to be an editor to take this course. Broadcast Graphics Design is a field upon itself. It helps if you know editing, but it's not required.

Is this course Windows or Mac? CS4 or CS5

We teach this course on Mac OS X, but if you would prefer to have a workstation prepared for you on Windows, we can certainly arrange that - just give us notice when you register, and at least three business days so we can ensure to get a system configured for you. In this Foundation course, we don't get into the advanced new features in CS5, so we teach it on CS4.

Is there an exam?

There is no exam with this course, however this course will help you to prepare for the Adobe Certified Expert Exam, offered at Prometric Testing Centres throughout the world.

What book do I need?

There are many books available for After Effects, however you do not need one for this course. If you were to buy one, you might consider Adobe After Effects CS5 Classroom in a Book.

Do I need to bring anything else?

Headphones are required for this course and we ask that you bring your own.
