We’re looking for a unique individual – One who is able to bridge the creative and the technical fields. We want someone who’s as comfortable with a video editing timeline as he or she is with a Torx 8 screwdriver. Someone who knows the difference between when it’s time to add a crossfade, and when it’s time to use kapton tape.
This job is being provided with assistance from the Federal Government of Canada and the successful candidate must be a recent or upcoming graduate from a University or College program.
You like to figure out how things work. You take things apart, experiment, put them back together and the next time you take it apart, you take it apart faster. You come up with systems to ensure the right screws go back in the right place, you pay attention to detail. You’re the kind of person that wants the interior of a computer to be as clean, organized and polished as the exterior. You take pride in leaving the campsite better than the way you left it. You fix things. You’re organized and personable. You might be a bit nerdy, but you’re one of the new nerd generation, the Nerd 2.0s – or Snow Nerd – you play well with others, you’re a social creature and are a great communicator. People come to you when they need to know how something works, or something fixed, whether you want them to or not.
In the role of a Splice Mac Tech, you’ll make a difference in people’s lives, with a welcome smile and the ability to just make things work. In many scenarios, when the fault was the result of software and not a hardware failure, you’ll take a moment with the customer to demonstrate what wasn’t working and how you fixed it, so they can do the same in the future too.
Drop us a line. Include your resume, a cover-letter that’s customized just for us (no templates, thanks) and we’ll go from there.
