Tackling a negative trend in the training industry, Splice announces today a new customer centric program: Splice | Guaranteed to Run.
One problem facing customers is the problem that they can sign up for a course, but the course won’t actually run. It’ll be postponed or cancelled because the training centre has determined it’s not profitable: there aren’t enough people signed up. It’s made even worse when you consider that some students may have paid for the course and made travel arrangements. In those situations, it’s a huge hassle for the student and it develops a mistrust for the training centre: Do you sign up for the next course and then wait for the last minute before booking flights to see if it actually runs, passing up airline seat sales along the way?
Trust us.
We’re turning this upside down. Since July 1st, 2009, Splice has delivered 97.7% of our the courses for which it had students registered. That 2.3%? We delayed a course so we could offer it with a newer version of the courseware that we knew was about to be released. 97.7% success rate of delivering on our scheduled training courses. That’s awesome, but not perfect. Not yet. We’re working on it:
Through some really cool changes to our Online Course Schedule, we’re able to indicate courses that are Guaranteed to Run. Just look for the green checkmark on our schedule and register for it, then go ahead and book your flights, because you know the course is Splice | Guaranteed to Run.
It gets even better: Simply by registering for an Apple IT Course, your registration will cause the course to be flagged as Splice | Guaranteed to Run. You’ve committed to us by registering, and we’re committing back to you by running it even if you’re the only person in the course, even if it’s a financial loss, we’d rather have you with us in the long-run. There’s no small print: If you register for an Apple IT course and you are the only student, the course will run just for you. Cool, eh?
If you register and pay in full for a course that we have marked as Guaranteed to Run, and we cancel that course, then aside from the process outline in our cancellation policy, we’ll also refund you the change or cancellation fee charged by your airline resulting from rebooking or cancelling your flight, as well as any penalty fees charged by your hotel. If you book on Priceline or Lastminute.co.uk/com, which don’t allow cancellations, then that means we’re reimbursing you for the cost of the entire hotel booking (provided you don’t actually go and use the booking anyway). In otherwords? We’re going to run the course, ,so sign up.
