Splice is pleased to announce a significant upgrade to our Avid training courses. As of March, 2010, Splice is now an official Avid Authorized Training Partner. All of Splice’s Avid training courses have now been revamped to align with the official curriculum of Avid’s Educational Services, which means great training just became fantastic Avid training.
What’s New
- Course Names. Our previous 5-day course, “AVID1500 | Intro to Avid Bootcamp”, has been replaced with “MC101 | Introduction to Media Composer”, which is also 5 days and covers similar content, but also adds Marquee and AMA, which previously were covered in Splice’s Avid Advanced Bootcamp.
- Student Guides. These books contain all the notes, short-cut keys, explanations and exercises. For Media Composer 101, the student guide is over 400 pages and includes a companion DVD. It’ll be much easier for students to recall course content with the addition of these guides.
- Certification Exams. Students can write certification exams after taking the Avid courses. Successful completion of the exam results in the student earning “Avid Certified User” accreditation.
Upgrade.
We’re so excited at moving our Avid training offering from our custom-designed courses to the official curriculum that we’re letting all previous Avid students (from 2005 to 2011) come back and take MC101 (5 days), paying just $200 CAD. Offer expires August 31st.
We’re also going to extend a special offer for our Final Cut Pro Students: If you’ve taken FCP101 or FCP200 in the 2009 or 2010 calendar year, you can take Avid MC101 for half price: $487.50. Offer also expires August 31st.
