Apple grows to 10% of Canadian PC Sales

Any Canadian who has been to a coffee shop lately shouldn’t have any problem believing the recent news. Canada may now be the most Mac saturated country in the world. Everywhere you go you can easily find someone with a Mac, and according to a recent study of computer sales in the country, Apple has now broke the double-digit share of all non-server computers shipped between March and June. The rise, to a great degree, is being attributed to the strong performance of Apple’s Macbook line which has been gaining 24.8% consecutively in recent years. By comparison competitor HP saw it’s PC sales fall by 25.3% and leading computer manufacturer Acer, with it’s 57.5% market share, continues to lead almost entirely by it’s sale of low priced netbooks. A category where Apple is yet to compete.
