Splice to Present + Exhibit at Tradeshow

The All Access 2009 Tradeshow is back for another year at TourTech East at 170 Thornhill Drive in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. While the sound-stage hosts exhibits including Panasonic, Canon, Splice and CEV, three sets of free seminars are held upstairs.

The seminars are divided between three tracks: video, audio and lighting. Splice will be presenting the following three 25-minute seminars:

Final Cut Server
The low-cost asset management solution for production houses, advertising agencies and boutique shops. Learn how Final Cut Studio-based editing houses can have producers, editors and directors all accessing media over Final Cut Pro as well as externally over VPN for the purposes of comment, review and approval.

Apple Colour
Really, this product is called ‘Color’ but in this region, I’ll still call it ‘Colour.’ The session explores the use of Apple Color, an integral component of Final Cut Studio. Color incorporates multiple layers of primary and secondary colour correction, enabling a Final Cut Pro editor to achieve looks that would not be possible with Final Cut’s built-in colour correction tools.

Finishing your Final Cut Pro Project with Media Composer
This session covers the daunting task of converting your Final Cut Pro project to Avid Media Composer. We look at mixing and matching HD and SD media in Media Composer, recapturing HDV from material that was originally DV in Final Cut Pro and take a quick look at some of the on-lining capabilities of Media Composer v3.

The full list of seminars and exhibitors is available along with the registration page at Pierre Landry’s homepage.
