Splice is pleased to announce that at the end of January/09, it has completed its contract with Richmond, Virginia based Bell TechLogix to supply custom-developed Mac OS X technical training to school district IT managers, technicians and related staff of the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The contract was part of Pennsylvania State’s Classrooms of the Future project, which enables high school teachers to use technology as an effective tool to better educate Pennsylvania’s students. Many of the 15-20 participants on each the 1-week training courses are very new to Macintosh but have extensive experience in managing Windows IT environments.
Splice’s IT trainer-consultants have a breadth of experience, qualifications and certifications with Mac OS X, which is naturally required for a project of this magnitude, but one aspect that made them especially well-suited is their background with Windows, networking infrastructure and software development. These additional attributes have resulted in Splice’s trainers being able to talk on the same level as the course participants, using Windows terminology, which creates a comfortable learning environment for the students and improves the outcome of the training process.
